Locally roasted coffee beans mixed just for the Meet Point
It all started when I got that first bitter black coffee taste in my mouth when I was 17 years old, it was confusing at first but then, it quickly won me over.
I remember my family being obsessed with traditional Bangladeshi sweet tea, I was brought up on it. But I still wanted more from my cup. I was curious about the power of the coffee bean!
I lived in the Netherlands for a few years where I worked in the leisure & hospitality industry, did you know that the Netherlands drinks the most cup of coffee per capita in the world!?!
They love the stuff; I was amazed to experience all the different types they do and how many places you can get a great cup of coffee from. I lived a few streets away from a local coffee shop called “meet point coffeeshop”, in Eindhoven, it really was the place where I have a lot of my Dutch memories, my friends used to meet there often I was in love with how the Dutch made coffee such a social part of their lives, I really wanted to bring this home. That name and place holds a close place in my heart.
I was lucky to work for Google and I was based in the London HQ, I attended plenty of Espresso making and coffee science classes at Google, which I can only thank them for, this grew my taste in making coffee to another level.
Ever since then I have wanted to do what I love, in work and in life.
I had a Bean....sorry dream! So, I went to do what I love and that’s make coffee and serve it to you!
We always think about our environment and especially our beautiful Oxfordshire.
All our coffee bean waste is turned into and used as compost in North Oxford, to growth fresh vegetables like sweetcorn, potato's, turnips and much more. We then proudly sell them on stand, we also give any leftovers to our local partners to use in their dishes to serve locally.
All our coffee cups and lids are 100% fully recyclable rather than compostable as people tend to use recycle facilities more rather than compostable facilities when taking away a cup.
